This is what the Åland Parliament MP Mats Löfström says. On Wednesday, the Finnish government approved the national government's draft preparedness laws, which Åland's Radio reported on.
"The hope is that the measures will be sufficient and that the healthcare system will have the capacity to handle those who need care," says Mats Löfström, adding that if they are not sufficient, new measures can be introduced.
More in depth measures to support businesses and industry will be decided on today.
Mats Löfström does not believe that five billion euros is enough. Large companies can handle loan guarantees, but other companies need direct help and support in order to operate.
"You also have to support those who become laid off or need to be at home with children and also those whose livelihood depends on events that are affected by the restrictions", says Mats Löfström.
