There are still no confirmed corona cases on Åland yet.
Government physician Knut Lönnroth says that if a person has been travelling outside of Åland, the recommendation is that the person in question be quarantined for 14 days.
The recommendation is that this should also be carried out even if one is healthy.
But there is no support from the Infection Protection Act on this. This means that it is also not a quarantine ordered by an infectious disease physician and therefore you are not entitled to daily allowance.
"This is therefore not an obligation for anyone to follow, but it is up to everyone to take their own responsibility", says Lönnroth.
