Restaurants and cafés are allowed to continue their business

Cafés, hotels, shops and restaurants can still remain open despite the Finnish government's new measures to fight the corona virus.

One of the new guidelines is that public gatherings are limited to ten people and that the public is recommended to avoid unnecessarily spending time in public places.

- For this part, the responsibility lies with the customer and not, for example, the restaurant owner or the café owner. There is no restriction for the restaurant owner to not allow more than 10 people to come to the restaurant,

but it is the customer who must ensure that they do not come to the restaurant in a company of more than 10 people, says county governor Peter Lindbäck.

Restaurants, shops, hotels and shopping centers can continue to be open.
