Paf funds will save Åland

Double daily allowance and € 20 million in guarantees for the companies are some measures taken by the provincial government to curb the effects of the spread of the corona virus.
The Åland Governments reserves of around € 70 million in the form of Paf money will be used to save society from the effects of the spread of the corona virus. This was stated by Chancellor of the Exchequer (C) during the Government of Ålands press conference recently.
During the day, the government met with all laying parties and they are ready to make quick decisions.
"All parties agree that this is a good cause," said Torbjörn Eliasson.
The provincial government will submit a proposal for an additional budget, which will allocate funds to ÅHS, AMS and guarantees to the companies.
"We should double the daily allowance and that should provide a fairly good reinforcement in the households in connection with the layoffs," Torbjörn Eliasson said.
Companies must receive guarantees of up to € 20 million. The next step is to look at other forms of support for the companies according to Torbjörn Eliasson.
