To begin with teaching was initially limited to those students whose guardians work in industries that are critical to the functioning of society, but now this is changing.

Minister of education Annika Hambrudd, Ålands center, told on the Government of Ålands's press information that they decided on the change today.

- In the future, all pupils in grades 1-3 can be taught in school, but it is still recommended that students who can participate in distance education should do so, says Hambrudd.

She does not think the schools will be able to arrange school transfers on Monday, so parents who intend to send their children to the school may prefer to transport the child there themselves.
